About the Admission of New Members
Aletheia is not conceived as an organization intended for the indiscriminate incorporation of individuals, but rather as a study community whose value lies in the preparation, integrity, and diversity of knowledge of those who are part of it. For this reason, admission constitutes a process of approach, evaluation, and mutual understanding, whose purpose is to recognize not only the applicant’s affinity with the principles of the society, but also the abilities, experiences, and knowledge they may contribute to the collective work.
It is not a requirement to previously belong to a specific institution or to possess an exclusively academic background, since meaningful knowledge for this pursuit can manifest in many different ways. Science, philosophy, history, the arts, literature, linguistics, anthropology, astronomy, technology, spiritual traditions, contemplative disciplines, and other fields of specialization can provide valuable perspectives to an investigation that seeks to understand reality from a broad and integrative vision.
Membership does not depend on social position, influence, financial resources, or external recognition, but rather on the existence of an authentic vocation for knowledge and the ability to contribute responsibly to the purpose of the society. The applicant is expected to demonstrate intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, willingness to study, respect for different perspectives, and above all, an honest search for truth, even when what is discovered challenges their own ideas or beliefs.
Aletheia does not seek individuals interested solely in confirming their own convictions, but rather people capable of formulating profound questions, living with uncertainty, and changing their conclusions when broader reflection or deeper understanding requires it.
Aletheia is composed of men and women dedicated to the research, study, and practical application of natural and spiritual laws. It brings together people from diverse social, economic, and cultural backgrounds, united by an open-minded attitude, free from prejudice and oriented toward the pursuit of knowledge.
The knowledge that may be valuable to the organization is not limited to academic degrees or the accumulation of technical information. It may also be found in an exceptional life experience, a unique capacity for observation, a deep understanding of a cultural tradition, an uncommon specialized skill, or an intellectual sensitivity capable of establishing connections between seemingly separate fields.
The society seeks to bring together diverse individuals, not necessarily united by the same answers, but by the same disposition toward research and learning. Diversity of perspectives constitutes an essential source of enrichment, as it prevents any discipline, tradition, or interpretation from becoming a closed system of thought or a new dogma.
Every application is considered individually, carefully, and discreetly. Admission does not represent the acquisition of authority, special recognition, or immediate access to all areas of the society; it constitutes the beginning of a gradual process of formation, participation, and responsibility.
The organization offers its members its own training in areas such as metaphysics, mysticism, philosophy, psychology, parapsychology, and traditions of esoteric knowledge, promoting a deeper understanding of the human being, consciousness, and its relationship with the universe.
Those who enter Aletheia do so under the principle that knowledge implies commitment. Learning not only grants understanding, but also the responsibility to preserve intellectual freedom, respect, and the constant pursuit of those who share this path.
Belonging to Aletheia does not mean having reached a definitive truth, but rather accepting the permanent commitment to continue exploring what remains hidden and to keep alive the ability to question.
Likewise, the teachings and practices that Aletheia transmits are oriented toward their application in daily life, providing tools for reflection, inner development, and personal growth that allow individuals to achieve a more conscious understanding of existence and generate meaningful transformations in the lives of those who study and practice them.
Aletheia seeks people who do not need to possess the truth in order to dedicate their lives to the sincere search for it!
